Progress Reports: Quarter 1 Progress Reports will go home with our 3rd-5th graders on Monday. This is a great opportunity to talk with your child about how the first few weeks of school have gone, celebrate their successes and set goals for the rest of the quarter.
See You at the Pole: We will recognize See You at the Pole on Wednesday, September 23 at 7:30 am. This is an optional student and community led time of prayer at the flag pole. Parents and families are welcome to join if they are interested.
PBIS Coin Store: Our first PBIS Coin Store is this Thursday, September 24! Students have been receiving coins for good behavior and following expectations. They will have an opportunity to use them at the store on Thursday and on the last Thursday of every month!
American Music Festival Field Trip: Our 5th Grade students will be attending an American Music Festival Concert this Friday, during the regular school day. If you have not returned your child's permission slip, please do so ASAP.
Miles for Smiles Dental Van: The Miles for Smiles dental van will be here on Monday, September 28. If you have not returned your form and want your child to be seen by the dental van, please return the form this week.
Curriculum Night: Mark your calendars and plan to attend our very first Curriculum Night on Thursday, October 8! This will be a great night to hear from your child's teachers about the wonderful things happening in their rooms and how you can best support your child's learning. Our amazing PTO will be serving a FREE dinner to start the night. You don't want to miss this!
Calendar Change: There is an important calendar change for HIES only! We will have an Early Release Day on Friday, December 4 to prepare for the Decoy Festival. The Early Release Day on the district calendar for Thursday, October 1 will now be a full school day for HIES students.
