Good Evening Islander families,
This is Brooke DePinto, the principal of Harkers Island Elementary School calling with some important information for the coming week. The weekly All Call is sent out to Harkers Island families every Sunday evening and the script for the call can be located on our school website and Facebook page.
Upcoming Dates to Note:
● Monday, November 10th - Teacher Workday (NO SCHOOL for students)
● Tuesday, November 11th - Veteran’s Day Holiday (NO SCHOOL for students or staff)
Veteran’s Day Holiday - Students will be out of school on Monday and Tuesday this week for our Veteran’s Day Holiday. We hope that you have a wonderful long weekend and we will see you on Wednesday!
Thanksgiving Family Lunch - We invite you to join us for Thanksgiving lunch with your child on Thursday, November 20. Your child will bring home a letter with your lunch time and more information on pre-paying for any adult meals to make this a smooth process. We look forward to having you join us!
Festival of Trees Opening Reception - Our 4th and 5th grade students have been invited to join students from AES and SES to perform at the Festival of Trees Opening Reception on Friday, November 21. The reception starts at 6 and music will begin at 7. Please send any permission slips back to Mr. Pablo asap.
